Rosamund Pike has unveiled her debut collection for LK Bennett via an exclusive film. The actress – who is also the face of the brand – has designed three different bags in six different colours.
“I feel incredibly nervous about it,” Pike told us. “It’s something that I’ve created and I’ve put my taste on show, my preferences. I’ve put a lot of thought into it. I wanted to give people who can’t afford designer bags a taste of that quality for half the price, but still maintain a high level of luxury.”
Each bag has grab handles (although there is an additional, detachable cross-body strap inside the bag too), a style inspired by a nonchalant, carefree Julie Christie in the opening scene of 1965 film Darling. Made using Italian calfskin leather, the collection also features suede linings and a subtle brushed gold safety pin detail – referencing the actress’ treasured Jennifer Fisher earrings.
