New Projects, The Mountain Between Us  •  By  •  0 Comments

Sources tell Variety that “Gone Girl” actress Rosamund Pike is in early talks to star in Fox 2000 and Chernin Entertainment’s adaptation of “The Mountain Between Us” opposite Charlie Hunnam.

Hany Abu-Assad (“Paradise Now”) will direct the survival love story, which is based on Charles Martin’s novel about two people who survive a plane crash in the mountains.

J. Mills Goodloe and Scott Frank wrote the script.

Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and David Reading are producing the film, which will shoot at the end of 2015.

The late start works for both Hunnam and Pike as Hunnam will begin film “Knights of the Round Table” in early 2015 while Pike is expecting a child at the beginning of the year.

Pike is coming off rave reviews for her role as Amy Dunne in Fox and David Fincher’s adaptation of “Gone Girl,” which has grossed a stellar $152 million domestically. She can be seen next in the indie drama “Return to Sender.”

Hunnam, who recently wrapped production on Guillermo del Toro’s “Crimson Peak,” is the star of FX’s “Sons of Anarchy.”

Pike is repped by CAA, Magnolia Entertainment and United Agents.
