Rosamund Pike is rumored to be in line to play the young Emma Frost in the 20th Century Fox film, X-Men: First Class. While this is definitely just a rumor so far, if it holds true, Pike would join James McAvoy who has been cast as Professor Charles Xavier in the Matthew Vaughn directed film.

Forces of Geek sources spotted Ms. Pike around Lucinda Syson’s offices (Syson is the casting director who has previously worked with First Class director Matthew Vaughn on both Stardust and Kick-Ass), and Pike was allegedly carrying a copy of the comic book seen below.

Emma Grace Frost is a fictional character that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #129 (January 1980), and was created by writer Chris Claremont and artist/co-writer John Byrne.

Frost is an urbane, mutant telepath with a well-noted dry wit initially known as the White Queen (complete with revealing white attire for which she is known), Frost has changed from one of the X-Men’s most dangerous foes to one of its most central members.

Actress Tahyna Tozzi plays a younger version of Emma Frost in the 2009 film X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
